Product details
These Protestant prayer beads consist of 33 beads, in addition to the invitation bead, which serves as a reminder of Jesus' years on earth. The prayer beads begin with a cross, which serves as a reminder of Jesus' crucifixion. Five of the beads are special and larger or different in appearance than the others, forming a cross when viewed from the front. These five beads are known as the cross beads.
After the invitation bead, the first bead is called the salvation bead, which serves as a reminder of Jesus' gift of salvation and eternal life. The remaining four cross beads serve as a reminder of the four gospels.
Between the cross beads are seven smaller beads known as the weekly beads, one for each day of the week. These beads serve as a reminder of God's creation of the world in seven days. The number seven is significant to Christians as it symbolizes spiritual perfection.
The hand-held prayer beads are available in four different materials: acrylic beads with a cross design, wooden beads, stone beads, and custom-made beads. If none of the available options suit your needs, you can contact us for a custom order.
Throughout history, people have used various objects, including stones and prayer beads, to aid in prayer. Holding something in your hand during prayer can help you feel more connected to God and provide direction for your prayers. In fact, in the Bible, God instructed the Israelites who were afraid in the wilderness to hold onto the tassels of their garments to feel more secure. That is believed to be the beginning of the usage of prayer beads. Even today, Jewish people have tassels on the corners of their garments, known as tassels.
